Conducting an Audio MeetingDepending on availability, a meeting may include computer audio support or telephone conference services. Both provide audio communications to use during meetings. Note For both computer audio and telephone conference services, if a participant mutes their own connection, the chair cannot unmute them. Muting participantsWhen a meeting includes computer audio and video, tools are provided to mute all participants or individual participants during a meeting.
Switching the Audio ModeAll meetings that include computer audio begin in Automatic Microphone mode. You might want to switch to Request Microphone mode when:
To switch to Request Microphone mode, choose Tools - Audio - "Switch to Request Microphone." Everyone in the meeting must now request the microphone before speaking. To return to Automatic Microphone mode, choose Tools - Audio - "Switch to Automatic Microphone." Passing the MicrophoneDuring meetings that use the Request Microphone mode of computer audio, the chair can pass the microphone from the current speaker to the next speaker who has requested it.
